“We’ve learned the American approach to policy development, especially for emerging technologies. We’ve also understood the role of commerce and the private sector in guiding government policy for the advantage of developing the economy. We’ve also learned about processes you can actually put in place as an institution to ensure that the right policies actually come out and support economic development. Of course, artificial intelligence is the big thing, and we’ve learned how we can develop policies around artificial intelligence and use it as a tool for the purpose of economic development.”

“The Visiting Research Scholar program at IPPAM offered me an incredible opportunity to connect with professors, industry practitioners, and professionals. This experience allowed me to develop a new perspective and build critical leadership, management, and research skills. Among the many experiential site visits, the most valuable were our visits to the City of Walnut and to the LA Kretz Innovation Campus, where we gained a deeper understanding of how local government functions in the U.S and explored how startups leverage innovative technologies to commercialize new products and collaborate with policymakers.
